Hydrelle reaction/ infection

Finally getting over my reaction to Hydrelle. I have had to inject Hyalouronidase about 5 times and there is still some material left there. I will not use this stuff again!

Hydrelle reaction/ infection

I am glad to be 99% better. That was a scary 3 weeks. I wish I could post my pictures but I am having problems uploading photos. I hope I can get the word out to my colleagues so this will not happen to them.

I believe using hydrelle will cause an unacceptable amount of problems and reactions.

Which Laser Treatment is Right for Me?

Laser treatments can improve the look of your skin in just one session. But not all treatments are equal. Naples Laser Treatment offers different levels of treatment based upon individual needs and preferences. If you are wondering which laser treatment is right for you, the following should help explain the differences.

There are three levels of laser treatment that I offer in my Naples clinic. we use the Visia skin analysis system to evaluate your skin and the Fraxel® Laser Skin Resurfacing system for treatment.

The Fraxel® system treats skin based on three levels of care known as

  • Fraxel re:fine™ treatment–for prevention and maintenance
  • Fraxel re:store™ treatment–for mild to severe skin damage

These treatments take only a short time, often less than 30 minutes. With the re:fine™ treatment you can return to work, looking better, immediately. With the re:store™ treatment you can return to work the next day.

We use a one pass CO2 scanning laser to achieve similar results to the Fraxel repair system.

If you are ready for younger, healthier skin please contact Manuel Peña, M.D., Naples laser treatment professional in Florida.

Hydrelle Reaction personal experience

6 weeks after injecting Hydrelle into my cheeks i developed swelling, redness, and firm bumps. I treated it with local antibiotics, oral and injectible steroids and dissolving enzymes called hyalouronidase. I had to drain the areas several times. I received a memo from Coapt ( the company that markets Hydrelle) about 2 weeks ago and after it started recommending it only be used in the nasolabial folds and the marionette lines. Whoops, too late for me.

I am so glad this happened to me and not to one of my patients. I am having troubles uploading photos to this Blog but they will be here soon.

Photos of My Hydrelle Reaction

Here they are: scary pictures of myself Manuel M. Pena, M.D. approximately 6 weeks after I injected Hydrelle into my malar areas. About a week before these photos I had received a memo from Coapt Corp. (the marketers of Hydrelle) recommending that this material only be used in the Nasolabial folds and Oral commisures. Whoops a bit too late for me!
