Procedure

 

• You are given intravenous anesthesia to numb the body before surgery. Dr. Peña makes incisions in areas where it is easy to conceal any scarring.
• Dr. Peña uses excision and fat removal techniques to remove excess skin and fat from the abdomen (tummy tuck) and reshape the area for a more attractive contour.
• The same smoothing and toning techniques are used on the thigh and buttock areas.
• Using Quill sutures, an innovative, longer-lasting, absorbable type of suture, Dr. Peña closes the incision sites and bandages the lower body area.
• The full recovery period typically lasts four to six weeks.

 

Body lift is often a popular choice for patients who have undergone bariatric weight loss surgery and need to tighten and firm the lower body for a more refined, contoured look.
