Eyelid surgery, also known as blepharoplasty, is one of the most popular cosmetic surgeries requested at our Naples practice. Procedure

 

• After administering anesthesia, Dr. Peña makes incisions in the natural folds and creases of the eye area. Fat deposits are redistributed or removed and excess skin is removed. Muscle tissue is tightened for a firm, toned appearance. The incisions are closed with sutures.
• Swelling and bruising is to be expected but should subside within a matter of days. Activities such as working out and lifting will be restricted depending on your individual circumstances.
• During the healing process, swelling and bruising will begin to fade, revealing your improved eye contours. The result is a dramatic reduction in drooping or sagging and a refreshed eye appearance.
• Dr. Peña and his staff will go over what you can expect during the recovery process before the procedure and provide with a take-home packet of information for easy referral.
