Procedure

• After intravenous anesthesia, the face is injected with a local anesthetic.
• If fat is to be used to add volume to the face it is injected now.
• Dr. Peña places subtle incisions in the area behind the hairline and in the natural folds surrounding the face.
• He gently removes any excess fat and skin and tightens the facial muscles.
• The procedure typically lasts two and a half to four hours. After the facelift surgery, our team is very involved in your recovery process. You will come in for follow-up checks daily during the first five days, then at the one-week mark. Sutures are removed at Dr. Peña’s discretion.

 

The result is a fresh, renewed facial appearance. It’s not uncommon for our facelift patients to report looking 10 to 15 years younger. Facelift results are permanent, although the future effects of aging cannot be prevented.
