What does the arm lift procedure involve?

Naples plastic surgeon Dr. Manuel Peña will make an incision from your elbow to your armpit along the inside of each arm. He will then remove excess skin and fat before closing the incision with sutures. Dr. Peña uses a special technique using Quill Sutures that distributes tension evenly around the arm for faster healing and better scars.  Recent changes where the incision is made makes the scar even more difficult to detect.

How long before I can return to work following my arm lift surgery?

This will depend on the nature of your job. Some patients can return to work within a few days. Others with a more strenuous physical job may need to take 7-10 days off before resuming work.

How long will it take before I can resume physical activity?

You can start walking immediately following your arm lift surgery. It will take two weeks before it is safe to resume cardiovascular activities, and you will have to wait until your wounds are completely healed to begin swimming and weight training. This will generally take three to four weeks.
